The Indian hardline organisation Shiv Sena on Friday lashed out at Pakistan for arresting batsman Virat Kohli's fan who waved Indian flag at his house in Okara, Punjab.

Umar Draz made the gesture after the batsman hit 90 runs to claim victory for his team against Australia in Adelaide and was subsequently arrested on January 26.

The extremist outfit also asked the Indian government to initiate action against anti-national elements, and "disloyal Pakistan-lovers".

“Umar Draz’s house was raided and he was charged with committing an offence against his country [Pakistan]. Was his mistake really this big?” an editorial published in the party’s publication said.

“Didn’t our country have fans of Wasim Akram, Imran Khan? One will find many fans of people like Mehdi Hasan, Rahat Ali, Ghulam Ali, but our government never arrested them."

Sexton Blake | 8 years ago | Reply I do not quite understand why these never ending childish spats occur between Pakistan and India, but I wish they would stop.
