Meet The Press: JI to fight social, financial corruption

“People have right to struggle either its financial or social corruption,” the Jamaat chief said

KARACHI: Creation of a puritanical Islamic society being its core mission, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) is set to open another front with the launch of its march against corruption, not only financial but also social. “JI will launch a nationwide campaign against corruption in March,” JI Ameer Sirajul Haq said on Wednesday, while talking to the media at Karachi Press Club. “People have right to struggle either its financial or social corruption,” the Jamaat chief said. Replying to a question he said that Jamaat only supports peaceful and democratic struggles throughout Muslim world and said that his party does not support the struggle of ISIS in Syria and Iraq.
