LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Sukhera on Thursday said the status of child labour at kilns should be monitored strictly and a report in this regard should be submitted on a daily basis.

He was addressing an RPO’s conference. Decisions regarding schools security, safety of tourists and foreigners, computerisation of human resource record and maintenance of flow of traffic in Lahore were made at the conference held at the central police office.

Sukhera directed field officers to ensure implementation of the standard operating procedures for security of schools and maintain contact with school administrations. He also ordered them to ensure security of foreigners.

It was decided at the meeting that a team would be set up under the DPO’s office led by an Investigation SP or Legal DSP to inspect reports received from the Punjab Forensic Science Agency.
