SUKKUR: Muhammad Moosa Sarki who, along with three other residents of Thull, was kidnapped near the Babarlo Bypass three months ago, returned home safely on Sunday night.

More than three months ago four residents of Thull - Muhammad Moosa Sarki, Ghulam Rasool Kanrani, Hidayatullah Sarki and Shabbir Banglani - were travelling to Khairpur in a car when they were intercepted by armed men near the Babarlo Bypass in Khairpur district. The armed men blindfolded them and took them to another location, abandoning their car.

Families of the four kidnapped persons approached the Jacobabad and Khairpur police and informed them about the kidnapping but nothing was done despite the fact that the area people kept protesting on a regular basis. The kidnapping remains shrouded in mystery, as the families never received ransom calls nor are the released persons uttering a single word about their ordeal.

The third kidnapped person, Muhammad Moosa Sarki, who returned home late on Sunday night, told journalists that his captors blindfolded him and released him near the Naudero Bypass.

He said that later the policemen took him to the Naudero police station and informed his family about his recovery. His relatives rushed to Naudero and took him back to Thull, he explained.

Out of the four kidnapped persons only one, Ghulam Rasool Kanrani, is still in the captivity of the kidnappers, the other two, Hidayatullah Sarki and Shabbir Banglani, were released earlier.
