KARACHI: Parents protested outside Civil Hospital, Karachi, claiming that their newborn was swapped with a deceased baby. According to them, the hospital administration replaced their baby boy with a dead baby girl. The parents showed the media the birth certificate issued by Civil hospital on January 7, duly signed by the resident medical officer. The certificate mentions that a baby boy took birth in gynaecology unit II to mother, Hina, and father, Ishtiaq, on January 5. The couple claimed that the hospital administration did not discharge the newborn due to medical complications. But, on January 21 the pair was handed a deceased baby girl.
