SOS service: Sindh govt reaches out to citizens

An SMS service is also being launched to stop corruption in public dealing departments

KARACHI: The Sindh government is launching the EZ-Effective Feedback Redressal Mechanism in which citizens will be able to file complaints through a phone call. The decision was taken by Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah during a meeting at the CM House on Sunday. Shah directed finance minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to also extend the service to other departments such as education, local government and the police. “If you face any problem in filing your applications or any official demands bribe for redressal of a grievance, you must inform me in response to my SMS to be received by you from 9515,” said Shah. An SMS service is also being launched to stop corruption in public dealing departments and improve efficiency of the government departments. The meeting was attended by chief secretary Siddique Memon, development additional chief secretary Aijaz Ali Khan, principal secretary to CM Alamuddin Bullo and finance secretary Sohail Rajput.
