Busted: Militant commander among five nabbed

A huge cache of arms was also seized

HANGU:


The counter-terrorism department apprehended five militants, including a wanted commander on Saturday. The CTD officials also recovered weapons from his possession.


Officials of CTD informed the media they raided a house in the area and managed to arrest Khadi Gul, the commander of a banned militant organisation.


The suspect belonged to Orakzai Agency. They added that Gul’s accomplices were also nabbed during the raid and were identified as Muhammad Rasheed, Shafihullah, Sifat Sher and facilitator Fida Muhammad.


A huge cache of arms was also seized, including rocket launchers, nine hand grenades, several pistols, heavy machine guns and ammunition.


Khadi Gul was wanted by security forces. He was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
