KARACHI: Dawid Malan scored a brilliant century as Pakistan A succumbed to their second successive loss — a 69-run defeat — against English Lions in the five-match ODI series at the ICC Academy in Dubai.

Batting first, Lions posted 314-5 courtesy of Malan’s 114-run knock which came off 109 balls and was laced with two sixes and a dozen boundaries.  Mohammad Nawaz claimed three wickets while Fahim Ashraf picked up expensive scalps for 78 runs in nine overs.

Despite the dismissals, the English side managed to build strong partnerships throughout.
