Defrauded: Man seeks recovery of daughter
She said he had detained her and taken away her passport
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Monday sought comments from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) director on a petition seeking registration of a case against a travel agent who had sent the petitioner’s daughter to Dubai where she said she had been raped by her employer. Manzoor Hussain submitted that Mohsin Ali had sent his daughter to Dubai to work as a cook at a home. He said he had paid Ali Rs80,000 in advance. The remaining amount was to be paid once she reached Dubai. He said she had gone to Dubai on November 18, 2015, and was received by her employer Ali. “She did not contact us for several days… one day she called us and said she had been raped by her employer,” the petitioner said. “She said he had detained her and taken away her passport,” he said. He said the authorities concerned were not cooperating with him to recover her.
