
A teenage boy was killed and three others were injured in an armed attack near Khanpur Mahar town on Sunday night. The two families had been fighting due to a three-year-old freewill marriage.
On Sunday, a group of armed men raided the village and opened indiscriminate fire, killing 15-year-old Aamir Ali on the spot and injuring three others including Attaullah, Ehsan and Gulab.
The villagers shifted the injured to the Khanpur Mahar hospital immediately after the incident but they were referred to the Taluka Hospital Ghotki in critical condition. In the meantime, the Khanpur Mahar police reached the spot and shifted the boy's body to the Ghotki Hospital for postmortem.

The two groups of the Mahar tribe have been fighting over the free will marriage of Fazal Karim Mahar and Farzana Mahar since the marriage took place three years ago. So far, three persons have been killed. However, the police have yet to register a case.
