Not in time: Technical faults, fog delay several flights

KARACHI:

At least three flights were delayed from the Karachi airport on Sunday due to technical reasons and foggy weather.

Flight PK-760, flying from Jeddah to Lahore, landed at Karachi airport at 10:45am due to technical faults, and took off after five hours to its original destination.

Air Blue's PA-404, scheduled to fly from Karachi to Lahore at 12pm, was also delayed by an hour. Fatima Abbas, a passenger, said they had to wait at the departure lounge for over an hour, and were not told any reason for the delay. Another flight on the same route, PK-304, took off three hours after the scheduled departure.

Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) also issued a travel advisory, asking passengers to confirm their flights from the helpline beforehand.

Sahib Zad Khan, director of the Punjab Met Office, told The Express Tribune "The weather is expected to get better after 48 hours, but fog will persist in upper parts of the country throughout winter."
