LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Kahna SHO on a petition seeking registration of an FIR against 10 police officials for holding up the petitioner’s family and “stealing” prize bonds worth Rs52,000 during a raid at his house.

Muhammad Akram submitted that ASI Muhammad Amin, Constables Yaqoob, Imran, and Raza and six other police officials had raided his home looking for his brother Akram.

“They held us up, searched the house and stole the prize bonds.

When we complained, they roughed us up.”

He said he had requested the SHO to take action against the police officials but he had done nothing in this regard.

He requested the court to direct the officer to register an FIR against them.
