Grenade Attack: Five FC personnel injured in Swabi

The injured personnel were rushed to the Swabi Hospital for treatment

SWABI: At least five Frontier Constabulary personnel were injured on Saturday when unidentified armed men lobbed hand grenades at their convoy in Swabi. Police said that the Frontier Constabulary convoy was performing duty on Mardan Road. They stopped at a petrol pump to fill gas in their vehicle when unidentified motorcyclists hurled grenades at it and escaped. As a result, the grenades exploded, injuring Frontier Constabulary personnel Aftab Ahmed, Jamshed, Muhammad Ishaq, Rashid and Azmatullah. The injured personnel were rushed to the Swabi Hospital for treatment. Soon after the incident, the police cordoned off the area and started a search operation to arrest the culprits.
