Working party: 18 development projects approved

The IUB sub-campus project was initiated nine years ago at a cost of Rs416 million

BAHAWALPUR:


The federal government approved 18 development projects at a cost of Rs23 billion at a meeting of the Central Development Working Party on Friday. The projects include establishment of an Islamia University sub-campus at Rahim Yar Khan. Rs726 million was budgeted for the project.  The meeting was held chaired Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal. The IUB Rahim Yar Khan sub campus project was among five approved projects for the Higher Education Commission. The IUB sub-campus project was initiated nine years ago at a cost of Rs416 million. It was decided in the meeting to that the project would be completed as soon as possible.  The meeting was told that two hostels, a library and an administration block would be added to the plan.
