Pakistan T20 squad were given a pleasant surprise when they bumped into tennis star Rafael Nadal at Sydney airport, while en route for the upcoming New Zealand series.

Team members found themselves in a scurry to capture a snap with the left-hand Spaniard who has won 14 grand slams to date. Muhammad Hafeez, Sohaib Maqsood and Imad Wasim were lucky enough to take selfies with the tennis star.

And while Hafeez and Imad knew exactly who they were meeting, it seems Maqsood may have mixed up the Spaniard with another tennis great, Roger Federer.

Maqsood, however, quickly edited his status to tag Rafael Nadal. The internet wasn't going to let it him off the hook that easily though.

It's not known whether Nadal is interested in the game of cricket but Pakistani players seemed quite delighted with the accidental treat.

Shahid Afridi-led Pakistan faces New Zealand in the first T20 on Friday. The T20 series is followed by three ODIs where Azhar Ali will lead the men in green.
