Two cops killed: FIR ‘filed’ against unidentified persons

The two policemen deployed on security of a mosque were killed in a firing attack during Friday prayers

Police have registered the First Information Report (FIR) against unidentified persons on Saturday over the killing of two policemen at Multani Mohalla, Patel Road Quetta.


“Gawalmandi Police have registered the FIR on behalf of Station House Officer (SHO) Abdul Hakeem against unknown persons on Saturday,” Ejaz Ahmed Head Clerk of Galwalmandi Police Station said.


The two policemen deployed on security of a mosque in Multani Mohalla were killed in a firing attack during Friday prayers. Following the killings, Police and Frontier Corps carried out search operation in numerous parts of the provincial capital and arrested 20 suspects after the police killings.


“Police along with FC had conducted raids in Kasi Road, Balochi Street, Gawalmandi Chowk, Sariab Road among several other areas and apprehended 20 suspects in connection with the Friday’s killings,” police added. They said that the arrested persons are in custody and are being investigated.
