Terror bid foiled: Police arrest three suspected terrorists from DI Khan

Three kilograms of explosive along with two hand grenades were also recovered

PESHAWAR: Police in Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday foiled a terror bid and arrested three alleged terrorists having ties with a banned outfit.

A special police unit raided a hideout [of terrorists] on Muddi Road near Shaheedabad area of Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and apprehended three terrorists belonging to a banned outfit, read a statement issued by the Special Police Unit Dera Ismail Khan Region.

However, the name of the banned organisation has not yet been disclosed.

Three kilograms of explosive along with two hand grenades, 25 feet Primacord, wire and 12 volts battery were also recovered from their possession. All these items are used in making Improvised Explosive Devices.

CTD arrests TTP terrorist from Peshawar

Those arrested were identified as Khawaja Mohammad son of Ghulam Haider, a resident of Mashokhel, Sakhawat Khan son of Atlas Khan of Sulaimankhel and Asfandyar son of Rawas Khan from Badhbher in Peshawar.

The suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation, the statement added.
