Valuables missing: Woman seeks case against maid

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Friday sought comments from the Shahdara SHO in connection with a petition of a woman seeking the registration of a case against her maid. Petitioner Kausar Bibi told the court that she had hired the woman to help with household work. Bibi said she had later realised that valuables including a wrist watch and a gold ring among others had vanished after she had started working. She said she had later deliberately placed Rs1,000 in her kitchen and directed the maid to clean the space. Bibi said as expected, the note was nowhere to be seen when she had inspected the kitchen. She said the woman had denied any wrongdoing when asked about the whereabouts of the money. Bibi said she had approached the Shahdara SHO in vain following the development. She asked the court to direct the SHO to lodge a case against the woman.
