Strengthening Ties: Asfandyar welcomes Modi visit

He also hoped it will help eliminate extremism from both countries

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party central leader Asfandyar Wali Khan has welcomed the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said it will undoubtedly bring all the countries of the region together. This was stated in a press release issued from Bacha Khan Markaz on Monday. “This is a confidence-building move and will eventually remove misunderstanding from both sides,” the document quoted Asfandyar as saying. According to the handout, Asfandyar also welcomed the visit of Army Chief General Raheel Sharif to Afghanistan and said it will strengthen ties between Kabul and Islamabad. He also hoped it will help eliminate extremism from both countries.
