IS militants are Israeli soldiers: Saudi grand mufti

Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz has claimed that the Islamic State (Daesh) militants are Israeli soldiers and the Saudi-led 34-nation military alliance of Islamic countries will defeat it.

The statement came after Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, the secretive leader of the terror group, called for an uprising in Saudi Arabia and pledged to attack Israel, in an audio recording released Saturday and attributed to him, AFP reported.

Islamic State leader urges uprising in Saudi, attacks in Israel

Terming the extremist group’s threat to attack Israel a ‘lie’, Aziz alleged that IS is a part of the Israeli army.

“This threat against Israel is simply a lie. Actually, Daesh is part of the Israeli soldiers,” said the grand mufti, who is also a chairman of Senior Scholars’ Commission and Ifta Council, during a telephonic interview with Saudi Gazette.

Criticising the militant group, he said the members of the terror outfit were causing a deal of harm to Islam and Muslims.

“They cannot be considered as followers of Islam. Rather, they are an extension of Kharijites, who rose in revolt against the Islamic caliphate for the first time by labeling Muslims as infidels and permitting their bloodletting.”

Pakistan included in Saudi Arabia’s 34-state Islamic military alliance against terrorism

Earlier on Wednesday, senior foreign office officials said although Pakistan has joined Saudi Arabia-led 34-nation coalition against terrorism, but it will not support any move that destabilises Syria or strains Islamabad’s relationship with Tehran.

Saudi Arabia on December 15 announced formation of the coalition to combat terrorism, mentioning Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Malaysia, Pakistan and Gulf Arab and African states as members.

When it comes to KSA, truth starts pouring out of the tongue of one eyed beast!!! For 4 years, House of Al-saud along with turkey and Qatar financially supported this terror group to topple Bashar Al-Asad. Back then, they issued fatwa for girls to marry the coward fighters of this terror group naming it “Jihad bil Nikkah”. And now in the blink of eye they were termed as “israeli soldiers”. Coward state mufti. Recommend

There is a difference between conspiracy theories and known facts.

Daesht is being supplied weapons, ammunition and medical aid by the IDF (KNOWN FACT)

Also the military tactics that are being used by these Satan worshipers, are well known and documented. We know which factions use them and when and where they have used them.

I have seen the tattoos on some of these Daesht, all part of modern and middle ages satanic and occult practices. (KNOWN FACT). That in itself exiles them from Islam.Recommend

This Mufti’s problem is that he is unable to face the fact that ISIS is an outgrowth of radical Islam, and so seeks to put the blame everywhere else.

Not knowing where to put it, he blames the Israelis, who are blameless on this file. Why would the Israelis want this? They were quite content with the quiet border that they had with the Assad regime.

He should instead blame his countrymen. Saudi Arabia is an ISIS-like society to a good degree! Seeing the excesses of the Royal Family likely has much more to do with the growth of ISIS support than anything this Israelis have ever done!Recommend

I would say that irrespective of whether Daesh is or isn’t part of Israel’s army, the way it is operating is only benefiting Israel by weakening Muslim states. Also, the way the Daesh army is behaving clearly shows that it can’t have any connection with Islam or Muslims, except perhaps in name.

And while it was America and Britain’s destabilizing of Iraq and disbanding of Saddam Hussain’s mostly Sunni army, without putting anything in its place, as well as removal of strongman Col. Moammar Qaddafi who had kept things in Libya under control, are factors which created a space for disgruntled former Iraqi soldiers to carve out a place for themselves in the region.

However, the responsibility for the misfortune does not lie squarely with the Western powers and Israel. The act of Sunni states to prepare, with Western help, a force to bring down Shia ruler of Sunni-majority Syria also started operating in its own right and in time, perhaps joined hands with the disgruntled former Saddam Hussain’s soldiers to give rise to this formidable Daesh army which, despite lacking air cover, conquered parts of Iraq and Syria and whose ideology has already spread as afar as Afghanistan, in addition to establishing strongholds in Libya.

However, Muslim rulers woke up just in time and under the leadership of Saudi Arabia, have now formed a military alliance of 34 Muslim states, whose first job would be to eliminate Daesh.

And while the Western countries would not have bothered much if Daesh’s activities remained confined to Muslim countries. But since the ill-effects of Daesh have now started reaching their countries as well, they are now extending a helping hand to Muslims in a united front against Daesh.

So in the face of combined assault by Muslim army, including fighters from Iran and Hezbollah, as well air cover provided by the Western forces and Russia, the Daesh menace would soon be eradicated. Also, stoppage of their massive oil income, as is being planned, would prove a fatal blow to Daesh.

And we have already heard the good news of Iraqi army snatching back Ramadi from Daesh.
However, one lesson that clearly comes out of this tragedy is that forgetting Shia-Sunni rivalry, Muslim states should join hands and work for their common good. Sunni rulers should not begrudge the existence of a few Shia states/rulers among over four dozens of Sunni majority states. God’s earth is large enough, and has plentiful resources for all of them to be able to live in peace, and there really is no need to fight each other which does great harm to Ummah as a whole.

History will judge Obama as a sensible President. His administration has made a decision to let the countries in the region do their own work, i.e. Afghanistan should take on the Taliban, Iraq should take on the I.S. and Syria should take on their own foes. It is time the Saudi’s know that times are changing. Recommend

It is obvious that KSA has misused Islam in most heinous way to promote a corrupt dynastic rule. They have terrorised the public in the name of Islam and continue to spread their brand of Islam throughout the World with help of their petro dollars and alliance with USA. They are the single largest factor for the present state of problems in Arab Nations. Unfortunately Pakistan has tried to follow their brand of religion based political regime to misguide its deprived poor people and divert their mind to religious fanaticism. It is atrocious and highly foolish to describe the ISIS militants as Israeli fighters.

The only way forward is for Muslim majority Nations is to follow democracy and secularism in line with other Countries and stop misusing religion in governance, education and social norms.Recommend

    Dec 30, 2015 - 11:40PM

Why have this militant gang called “ISIS / Daesh” not attacked the nearest enemy called Israel? This is actually a very valid question and point. Hmmm…..
Every middle-eastern militant group´s prime enemy is Israel (nearby) and US (because of blindly supporting the former mentioned country). Something is fishy about how the organization emerged, so suddenly and NOT attacking the little “trouble and mess -maker” country in the Middle east. Very strange. This organization is just blindly creating mess.Recommend

The question is simple: What is the purpose of this gang IS? Who is behind it? Who are their actual target enemy? What is their goal? And who are they fighting against? Except for creating mess by killing randomly innocent people in that part and try to capture areas with oil? And who is buying oil from them? Aren´t they a so called “islamic” hardcore militant group? Shouldn´t they be targeting the specific “enemies of islam” ? Israel is in Middle East considered to be the real “mess and trouble maker” (?) in Middle East? Why is this country not on their agenda?
It is strange, Over and out.Recommend
