Transitions: Captain Sher Khan’s father dies
A military contingent also paid their respects to the deceased

Khurshid Khan, father of Captain Sher Khan who was martyred at Kargil Front in 1998 and earned Nishan-e-Haider for his bravery, passed away Saturday morning. He was 82. He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Nawan Killi, Swabi. The funeral was attended by a large number of people, including local government representatives and members of various political parties. Swabi district nazim Amir Rahman and Razar tehsil nazim Ghulam Haqqani were present on the occasion. A military contingent also paid their respects to the deceased. Khurshid, who was born in Swabi and spent his early life in Buner, is survived by his sons, Anwar Sher Khan and Sikandar Sher Khan. Sikandar is an educationist and serves as the principal of a school.
