As part of a series titled ‘Craft of the Month,’ weaving programme kicked off on Monday, said a press release. Lok Virsa Executive Director and chief guest of the opening, Dr Fouzia Saeed said the programme has been an experiment of sowing seeds of a pluralistic society in younger generation. “Such programmes have potential to lead a generation that will take care of our country in future and make it a truly pluralistic and representative society,” she added. Over 50 students, aged between six and 14, participated in the programme. Students also gave live folk musical and cultural performances at the opening ceremony. The programme is on-going till December 27. The next programme, on block printing, is scheduled from January 4 to 10, 2016.
