The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) kicked off the second day of drafting for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Lahore’s National Cricket Academy on Tuesday.

Today, all teams will look to pick a minimum of seven players; five from silver category and two from emerging players category.

PSL draft: Younus unpicked, Karachi bag Amir as Afridi joins Peshawar

The most surprising non-selection of day one and two was when Pakistan World T20 winning captain Younus Khan was not selected by any team.

Pakistan ODI captain Azhar Ali was able to get a position in Lahore after being drafted from Silver category. He was initially drafted in the Diamond category.

Meanwhile, Asad Shafiq was Quetta’s second pick from the Silver category of players.

Saeed Ajmal, Pakistan’s ace off-spinner before being banned for an illegal bowling action, could only make it into the Islamabad squad as a Supplementary player. Fawad Alam, the left-hand run-machine, was also drafted as a Supplementary player by Karachi Kings.

One interesting observation. No team has looked for specialized wicketkeepers. And the WKs selected are superstars(who may or may not play). Only Lahore has left with some options.Recommend
