Fraud: Two booked for bounced cheques

The police have registered cases separate cases against both suspects and have also launched an investigation

ISLAMABAD:


The Shalimar police on Sunday booked two persons for issuing bounced cheques in two separate cases in sectors F-10 and F-11.


Umair Haider told the police that Liaqat Ali, a suspect in the case, gave him a cheque worth Rs840,000 for a visa, but the cheque bounced back since there was not enough money in the issuer’s account. In a similar case, Saleem Baz Jan told the police that Kamal Azfar issued him a cheque for Rs4 million which too bounced back.


The police have registered cases separate cases against both suspects and have also launched an investigation in the matter.
