Convocation: 1,200 students receive degrees from Sindh University

The excelling students were awarded 23 gold medals, 24 special gold medals and 171 silver medals

More than 1,200 students who graduated from Sindh University in the year 2013-2014 received their degrees at the annual convocation in Jamshoro on Saturday. The recipients included 58 Doctor's of Philosophy (PhD) and 56 Master's of Philosophy (MPhil), six Master's of Science students and 1,094 graduates. The excelling students were awarded 23 gold medals, 24 special gold medals and 171 silver medals. The actual number of students who passed out from the university in 2013-2014 is estimated to be over 4,000 but only 1,214 registered for the convocation organised after a delay of a year. The highest number of graduates, who registered for the convocation, came from the natural sciences faculty, which passed 33 PhD, 46 M Phil, one MS and 637 graduates.
