BAHAWALPUR:

A man was assaulted by some of his rivals in Sadiqabad on Wednesday. Police said Nadeem was on his way home when Gul Hassan, Shahzada, Sultan and Bilawal stopped him and took him with them at gunpoint. Nadeem told police that they took him to a man’s house where they tied him up and snipped off his nose and lips and tried to kill him. However, Nadeem started screaming for help and several people gathered in front of the house. Police said the attackers fled while firing shots in the air and brandishing their weapons. The neighbours informed the Kot Sabzal police. They took Nadeem to Shaikh Zayed Hospital for treatment. Doctors treating him said his condition was critical. Police said they had registered a case against the assailants.
