PESHAWAR:

The Provincial Inspection Team launched an enquiry into allegedly illegal job  posts advertised by Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organisation (PEDO). According to officials privy to the matter, CM Pervez Khattak tasked the PIT with conducting the enquiry. “We have recorded statements of PEDO CEO and director human resource. We are going to record statements of PEDO Employees Union office bearers,” said an official of the enquiry team, requesting anonymity. The official said the PEDO employees union complained to the chief minister and asked him to take note of the matter. PIT Chairperson Syed Akhtar Ali Shah said proceedings had been initiated. The PEDO Employees Union President Fazli Rahim Khan told The Express Tribune there were objections over the academic qualifications required for the post.
