Directed by Kabir Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which narrates the story of how an Indian man discovers love and affection while taking a Pakistani mute girl back to her country, won hearts and ruled the box office by surpassing the Rs300 crore mark in India.

On the other hand, director Rajkumar Hirani's PK became the highest grossing Indian film overseas with a total collection beyond Rs620 crore.
Other films fighting for the trophy are Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Gabbar Is Back, NH 10 and ABCD 2.
