One of Bollywood's top singers, Shankar Mahadevan, reportedly suffered a heart attack and was admitted to a hospital in Delhi on December 6.

Shankar was rushed to the hospital after he complained about chest pains. He is currently recovering after undergoing angioplasty.

Without delving into details, his son Siddharth told the media, “It was mainly due to exhaustion. Dad underwent angioplasty on the first day itself when he was hospitalised. Thankfully, there weren’t any major blockages. He is recuperating well and the doctors said he would be discharged within a day or two," reports Hindustan Times.
