US is strongly committed to serve Pakistan especially in areas of economy, education and agriculture, said US Consul General Lahore, Zachary Harkenrider while speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of the USAID-funded Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) in Agriculture and Food Security, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.


“CAS worth $30 million will help flourish the agriculture and food security sector. It will also bridge the academia- industry gap and find solutions to issues like climate changes, economic crunch and food security,” said Harkenrider.

“The partnership with the University of California, Davis will open up new avenues of development for the country. Thousands of Pakistani teachers have been trained and as for energy, US-assisted projects have added up 1,700 megawatt to the national grid.”
