NEPRA reduces tariff

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority issued a notification to reduce power tariff by 57 paisa per unit.

The same tariff was increased by 1.2 per cent in February 2010 to make provision for fuel charges. After the reduction of 57 paisas per unit, the fuel adjustment charges will be reduced to 45 paisas.

This reduction will be impelemented for all consumers but not for life line consumers. The reduction will be included in the bills issued during March.
