Embezzlement: PTC chief arrested in DI Khan

There is zero tolerance for corruption in our department

DI KHAN: The anti-corruption department arrested the chairman of parent teacher council (PTC) on Sunday over charges of embezzling funds. PTC chief Abdul Rehman of the government primary school in Faizullah Koroona was nabbed by anti-corruption department officials for misappropriation of funds allocated for missing facilities in the school. When Rehman’s corruption was unearthed in March 2015, he was dismissed from the service and the anti-corruption department was notified to register an FIR against him and others for the recovery of the amount. Meanwhile, the elementary and secondary education department has requested the people through media campaigns to identify any misappropriations in the PTC funds. Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Atif said, “There is zero tolerance for corruption in our department and those people who are found involved in such practices will be punished accordingly.”
