The difference in the pictures taken before and after the compliment shows genuine reactions of people.

A photographer conducted a social experiment to see what happens when you tell someone they are beautiful.

The 18-year-old student from Chicago, Shea Glover, asked random people to pose for her and said to them, "I'm taking pictures of things I find beautiful."

She made a video of their genuine reactions to the compliment and it is absolutely adorable.

"I conducted an independent project which evidently turned into a social experiment regarding beauty. I want to clarify that my intentions were not to get a reaction out of people. I was simply filming beauty and this is the result,” she clarified.

Sofia Dimas | 2 years ago | Reply I saw this video and decided I wanted to go to that school. It s a major art school in Chicago and I wanted to know more about it after watching that video. Anyways it was a bad idea. This was an amazing artist and maybe the school was better then. I actually met the woman with the blue hair too by the way. She was really nice. Anyways that was all I wanted to add.

I loved this video so much when I first saw it way back when and I tell people to watch it all the time. I am all about smiles. I like to see people smile. That is probably why I have done a lot of stand up comedy. I crave laughter and smiles. I feed off of it. This video warmed my heart so much. But with Covid and masks I cant see people smile and it is honestly hard for me not to see smiles. It is equivalent to me not getting enough sunlight. So if you ever meet me smile at me. I will respect you more if you do. I also want to add that this was even more important to be in done in a high school a time when people feel very insecure about themselves. I love it
