Permanent Secretary Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Dr Abubakar Mohammad, stated this during a visit by Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan, Ahmed Ali Sirohey, to the ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
Mohammad said the volume of trade between the two countries has improved tremendously compared to previous years. “We are ready to strengthen trade relationship between the two countries,” he said.
He assured Sirohey that the Nigerian government would create favourable conditions for trade and investment in the country.
Earlier, Sirohey said that he had come for a follow-up to the reopening of a Pakistani trade mission and office in Lagos and called for stronger relationship between the two countries.
He sought joint ventures between private sectors and urged the minister to speed up work on a bilateral trade agreement.
