LAHORE: The man bun has seen a major resurgence in popularity, especially with the ladies. We’ve already seen Leonardo DiCaprio, Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto sporting them but the ladies are doing the hairstyle equal justice.

The man bun is versatile, it can be laid back and relaxed or office appropriate. It can be also be made into a wild, dishevelled just-out-of-bed mess or into a posh looking ‘do.  Here are four of our favourite ladies who bridge the gender gap by making this style their own and show the men a thing or two in the process.

Jennifer Lopez 



Lopez wears a sleek man bun with her hair gelled back. For this red carpet appearance, she chose to go with a polished version of the trend and did complete justice to it with glowing skin and bright lips. The classic earrings rounded off JLo’s look wonderfully. It takes a daring lady to put all her hair back into a tightly coiled bun but with features like those of Jenny, why think twice!

Kendall went for the right-out-of-bed and effortlessly cool version of the man bun. This wavy, semi-formal man bun was a great playful look for the first-time Victoria Secret angel. Jenner was bang on trend with this hairstyle that she coupled with minimal makeup. This is our personal favourite sort of man bun.

Maheen Taseer 



The stylist and designer wore a half-up, half-down man bun. Tightly coiled on the top with her hair straightened, Maheen stood out from the rest of the ladies who played it safe with blow-dried hair. Kudos to her for trying something new and managing to strike the right balance between chic and edgy with this hairdo!

Cara Delevinge 



True to her personality, Delevinge experimented with the trend to make it her own. She added a funky braid to the front that in turn added oomph to her look. She tied the back of her hair in a sleek top knot and kept her eyes the focus of her look. 10 points to the model!
