The provincial minister was recently involved in a social media controversy after expressing reservations on the appointment of renowned economist Atif Mian in the Economic Advisory Council.

Shehla had later denounced the statement and claimed that the tweet was posted by a member of her social media team – she clarified that the team had been fired after the fiasco.
