Tedx talk: ‘Climate change to affect all aspects of life’

Speakers at the Tedx talk at ILO highlighted the need to take drastic measures to save the environment. “Our actions will make a better tomorrow,” Digital Expert and Community Mobiliser Saad Hamid, who works with Tedx, said on Thursday. He stressed it was time to make changes in the way we live. One of the other speakers, Aisha Khan said when she visited the northern areas she had initially planned to dedicate a month for a cleanliness drive. However, she ended up committing the past 18 years to the cause. Jeremy Higgs, co-founder of Eco Energy Finance, a set up that aims to provide renewable energy for rural Pakistan, questioned how the country is supposed to run, let alone look forward, with such an excessive level of load-shedding.
