Sluggish progress: CM orders medical colleges to register with KMU, PMDC

CM also spoke about faculty requirements to inaugurate the institutes at a meeting at the CM Secretariat on Wednesday

Chief Minister Pervez Khattak directed Nowshera and Gajju medical colleges’ administrations in Swabi to get affiliated with Khyber Medical University and Pakistan Medical & Dental Council on an urgent basis. The CM also spoke about faculty requirements to inaugurate the institutes at a meeting at the CM’s Secretariat on Wednesday.


He added authorities need to complete all facilities by December 15 in order to register students for the new session.


Khattak asked the institutes to complete their hiring process and approved special incentive packages to be used for faculty in order to attract competent health professionals. The CM also directed the colleges to procure all equipment using special arrangements under K-P Procurement Regulatory Authority by December 15; the colleges must be up to standard with PMDC requirements. KMU and PMDC were required to visit the colleges for inspection.
