HYDERABAD:

Zulfiqar Mirza has accused Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari of being responsible for the Daraza incident, in which 12 persons were killed in a clash outside the polling station in Khairpur. "Like the killing of Benazir Bhutto, footprints of the killings in Daraza can also be traced to Zardari," he claimed.

Mirza and his political allies in Badin demonstrated their power on Thursday by gathering thousands of supporters for a sit-in outside the deputy commissioner's office. The sit-in lasted six hours and ended with a threat of surrounding the office if their demand is not accepted.

"[Sindh Chief Minister] Qaim Ali Shah is also responsible for the deaths of these innocent people," he claimed.
