Police claim to have arrested two robbers from their hideout

DERA GHAZI KHAN: A woman was killed over a domestic clash in Dera Ghazi Khan on Thursday. Police said Tasleem Mai’s brother-in-law had had a clash with her over money. He barged into her house in Bhanawala and shot her dead.

Kaala police said they had seized the body and had sent it for post-mortem examination. They said they later handed the body over to her family for burial. Tasleem Mai had two children. Police said they were looking for the suspect.

Road accident

Separately, a man was killed and two were injured in a road accident in Dera Ghazi Khan on Thursday. Police said Abdul Latif, a resident of Kot Chattha, was travelling on a motorcycle with two members of his family when a speeding car rammed into their vehicle. Latif and the other two passengers were injured and taken to the trauma centre at Dera Ghazi Khan Hospital.

Latif succumbed to his injuries. Doctors treating them said the condition of the other two was stable.

Busted

Cantt police claimed on Thursday to have arrested two proclaimed offenders in Dera Ghazi Khan. They said they had also seized a Kalashnikov, a pistol and 10 stolen motorcycles from them.

City Circle SP Shehbaz Elahi said the suspects were members of the Khalid Kajlani gang. The Dera Ghazi Khan DPO had formed a team to trace the suspects. They said Cantt SHO Imran Nawaz Brohi and City SHO Rana Iqbal had received information about a hide out the gang was using for their stolen items. They said the officers led a team to the hide out and Muhammad Eesa Bikhrani Khalol and Irfan Khalol.
