Bollywood beauty, Kareena Kapoor Khan, was missing in action on screen but that's only because she has donned the producer's hat for a documentary on women empowerment.

The untitled feature is based on the real-life story of a girl who struggles for independence and the right to an education. The script has been penned by Bebo's school friend Aditi Kapoor, who will also be directing the documentary.

"Kareena and Aditi studied together at Welham Girls' School in Dehradun. When Aditi began discussing her script, Kareena jumped on board," a source close to the actress was quoted as saying, reports Mumbai Mirror.

"She's a hands-on producer, has already had one narration and suggested some additions to the script. These include recent changes in teaching methods in government schools, use of technology to improve education and interactions with organisations working towards making people and celebrities more aware of problems faced by women," the source added.
