MULTAN: Pakistan would export mangoes and kinnows to Belarus and efforts are being made to explore new markets for exports, said Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Sikandar Hayat Bosan. He was addressing a ceremony at the launch of a manual - a guideline book about modern mango nurseries - developed by Australian and Pakistani scientists at the Bahauddin Zakariya University. He said modern agriculture methods and practices were of vital importance not only for the country but also for growers. “The incumbent government is focusing on the sector and efforts are under way to provide interest-free loans and solar energy tube-wells to farmers,” he added. He appreciated the cooperation between Pakistan and Australia and said the manual on modern nurseries would surely help growers achieve the best quality of mangoes.
