Home sweet home: 123 displaced families return to Kurram

They have also been provided with food and non-food items

Around 123 displaced families from Managal tribe of Kurram Agency returned to their native area of Naray Tangi in Shalozan on Wednesday. The families spent five years away from their homeland.


The Parachinar assistant political agent told journalists that they have started the repatriation and rehabilitation process of the displaced residents of Kurram Agency on the special directives of Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan.

He said these families had migrated from their hometowns in 2010, and were living in Sada, Tall, Kohat, Peshawar and Rawalpindi. The APA said the administration provided Rs0.3 million to each of the returning families. They have also been provided with food and non-food items. He said the administration also arranged transportation for the repatriating families.
