Questioning authority: Protesters file report against police
Protesters filed an application with the district and sessions judge after consulting the elected tehsil councillor
MARDAN:
Protesters in Rashakai near Mardan submitted an application against the police on Monday for allegedly attacking and harassing them during their demonstration against prolonged power outages in the region. Protesters alleged policemen argued with them, fired shells and baton-charged them. The protesters filed an application with the district and sessions judge after consulting the newly-elected tehsil councillor Haji Inayatur Rehman. The application was then forwarded to Nowshera sessions court.
