The Islamabad Model Postgraduate College (IMPC) H-8 joined hands with the nation to celebrate the Independence Day in a festive manner.

The celebrations began with a flag-hoisting ceremony in the presence of a large number of teachers, non-teaching staff and students.

Various programmes including patriotic songs, speeches and other events highlighting the sacrifices rendered by our forefathers during the Pakistan Movement were held to mark the day.

Prof Javed Iqbal Mughal, who moderated the programme, said that “our youth not only loves the country but also they have realization of the fact that we should break the shackles of provincialism, sectarianism, regionalism to make the country prosperous”.

IMPC Principal Prof Khurshid Shakoori said that “the future of our beloved country is bright because this country is going to be entrusted into very secure hands because our youth has a realization as to what our responsibilities are”.
