On a round: IGP Durrani visits check posts

Peshawar CCPO Muhammad Ijaz Khan and PSO to IGP Dr Mustafa Tanveer also accompanied Durrani during the visits

PESHAWAR: IGP Nasir Khan Durrani visited joint check posts of police and military situated in the suburbs of the city to distribute Iftar packages and cash gifts for Eid among the personnel on duty. During his visit on Wednesday, the IGP went to Tarnab police post, Urmar police station, Waheedabad police post and Lahore General Bus Stand in the city. He spoke to the personnel manning these check posts and inquired about the problems they face on duty. He lauded their efforts and expressed satisfaction over the work of deployed officials, calling them the pride of the K-P police. To boost their morale, the IGP acknowledged the efforts of the police personnel who have remained on duty for long hours in the blazing heat in Ramazan. At the Lahore Bus Stand in the city, the IGP interacted with the commuters and transporters, asking for their views over the performance of the force and the overall law and order situation. Peshawar CCPO Muhammad Ijaz Khan and PSO to IGP Dr Mustafa Tanveer also accompanied Durrani during the visits.
