PESHAWAR:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s K-P has started a reorganisation campaign to pave the way for intraparty elections in the province.

PTI’s Provincial Organiser Fazal Muhammad Khan and Deputy Organiser Dr Haider Ali chaired a meeting at the provincial secretariat where Arbab Nisar was unanimously appointed as the Peshawar coordinator and MPA Mehmood Jan the deputy organiser.

The meeting on Monday was attended by Provincial Information Secretary Shaukat Yousafzai, MNAs Sajid Nawaz and Hamidul Haq, MPAs Ziaullah Afridi, Arif Yousuf and others. ISF Peshawar president and members of the women’s and youth wings were also present.

The provincial organisers have also completed their visits to Upper and Lower Dir, Charsadda, Swabi and Peshawar. According to instructions from the central leadership, appointments of organisers and deputy organisers in every district were to be completed by July 5. However, because of local government re-polling, the central leadership ordered that the process be completed within two weeks of the formation of local governments. After reorganising, PTI plans to hold intraparty polls.
