Substandard products: Soft drinks factory sealed

ISLAMABAD:

The Koral police have sealed a fake soft drinks factory in Ghori Town Phase-1 and seized 3,000 bottles. Police said that fake soft drinks of prominent brands were being prepared in the factory, which was raided on a tip-off.

The fake factory was located inside a poultry farm in the area.

The police also claimed to have seized four machines, 13 cylinders and other equipment from the factory.

SHO Koral Police Abid Akram said that the factory had been making fake soft drinks before they were supplied to the local market.

The police also detained the factory manager, who told them that the factory belonged to one, Zafar Khokar.

The police said that they were searching to arrest the factory owner. A case has been registered.
