Substandard milk: Dairy businesses sealed

LAHORE: Five dairy businesses and a restaurant in the city were sealed on Tuesday after samples collected from these premises could not meet the Punjab Food Authority standards. PFA field teams also reported unhygienic condition of food storage at these facilities. Al-Fazal Milkshop and a restaurant owned by the same proprietor on Al-Madina Road in Township were sealed by an Allama Iqbal Town team. The raiding team stated that milk samples collected from the facility had fallen short of the standards set by the PFA. It said refrigerators being used to store milk at the business were also found to be in unhygienic condition. Other businesses sealed during Tuesday’s raids were Baba G Kulfi, Allah Tawakul Milkshop, Data Hajvery Milkshop and Hajvery Milkshop.
