PML-N local leader gunned down in Swat

Official says that Adalat Khan was shot multiple times and died on the spot

MINGORA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Adalat Khan was gunned down in the Shamozai area of Swat Valley on Thursday evening.

Akhtar Ali Khan, an official of Shamozai Police, while talking to The Express Tribune said that the incident occurred outside Adalat Khan’s house when he was returning from a local bazar.

The official said that Khan was shot multiple times and died on the spot. Shortly after the incident, security forces and police officials rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. A search operation was also launched in the area to hunt for the culprits.

A case was filed against unknown assailants who had managed to flee after the attack.
